I've been mulling over your new projections and am writing to ask if we can have a conversation today to discuss your increased cost projections. Jacqui and Rowen are available from 3pm. You?
What I would need is a problem solving meeting because as stated up front in this journey, I am simply not going to get a mandate to increase the budget beyond the R1m originally agreed to. It is a hard line from Wordworks management and board.
So, I think what is needed is
1. for you to really explain to us each area of increased work you have identified
2. for us to push back where things don't make sense to us, and to align understandings
3. for us to work out together how we are going to keep within budget without compromising our offering. This may be about what work is done, who does the work or when the work is done.
How does this sound? Not as good as cake and coffee, but really needed for my peace of mind over the break.
