✊ Notes from 14 November chat
Some notes from a quick chat with Jane and Jacs earlier today - I followed up with Jane privately to see if she could let me know if the timeline is going to slip - obviously time has been lost with Jac's son being so ill, but they are working really hard to get the time back.
WW believe they will be able to handover on time next week, however, the mobile version will take a bit longer as Roule is looking at that, post sign-off of the desktop version; when asked, I said it was okay for the mobile version to come after the desktop version (a few days won't hold us back )
Jane and Jacs said that they are open to launch just main site if time becomes a problem - as long as it does not take longer / cost more * this would be a plan b and only if needed.

🤝 WW is moving forward with languages using google translate and want all 11 languages with the ability to toggle off any poor translations - I said I would note this and that it should be possible .
Content is coming along nicely with the prototype - they are so grateful to be doing these two things together as it just makes the process easier.
Editing will happen after the content deadline (which is fine) The final content will be a bit delayed but no significant changes are anticipated in the editing process.
On the keyword front, Lara is delivering our work this week sometime.
I am trying to schedule the sanity check meeting for the 26th of November - the extended meeting on the 22nd of November is a Salesforce quoting meeting with focus on how things are going to work so they can quote accurately "It would mean the focus of that meeting will shift to looking at costings for automations on SF, and finalising that piece of the puzzle."
Rowen has questions, we had some answers but also noting that some of these questions are going to come up in the sanity check meeting
- Q: "A question to be answered during the "sanity check" - if a new LMS course or resource is added to website post launch, what would be required to ensure it maps to Salesforce? I know it's a question raised in conversation before, but would love to add it to our "sanity check" meeting "
- Q: How will Wordpress will be speaking to Salesforce,
- A: We'll use salesforce api calls to push data to SalesForce. When a form is submitted or the user takes a relevant action, we'll hook into that action and post the data.
Typically one action will result in multiple api calls to SalesForce to create, update, read or delete information.
Where we need to pull information from salesforce to display it to a website user, we will again use api calls to fetch the information in real time. - The Sanity check meeting will definitely include conversation about sms login and communication that follows (welcome messaging, lost your password, etc)
