Comment from Phil:
Regards the license for this and all Exchange data products. For now, during this trial period, we are going with the license accessed here. We could simply put the link or maybe hotlink the words “Own research use, details here”. But maybe this requires a github link, and if so we simply have the info below on its own web page accessed via a link (like we do for terms of service etc).
GEMS Exchange license
During the free trial period, the GEMS Exchange APIs are strictly for limited personal use, and you may not share your API access nor the data you download via the API.
The data accessed by this API are provided under the following terms and conditions:
Research use — These data may be used by a student, teacher or researcher at an academic or non-profit research institution, for student project(s), teaching or research purposes.
Non-Commercial use — These data may not be used for commercial purposes.
Own use — These data are for own use only. They may not be shared with third parties, and are thereby non-transferable and non-sublicensable.
Attribution — You are encouraged to give appropriate credit in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses you or your use.
No Derivatives — If you remix, transform, or build upon these data, you may not distribute the modified data.
NOTE If the github issue is operational in the “license agreement” link below then we need to link this to its own web page as well and not assume githib access at this stage.
