What’s Changing?On Wednesday, January 29, 2025, we will make changes listed below. These updates were installed in the Drupal stage environment on Tuesday, January 14, 2025.Testing GuidanceThe OIT Drupal team has created a testing rubric to help site owners identify the level of testing they should perform for each platform release. While the rubric should help to identify the general level of testing, these communications may include specific components which require additional testing.For this release, we have Drupal core and module updates. With the amount of module updates in this release, we recommend following the guidance for level 2.What’s Impacted?

Drupal
- Drupal Core to version 10.4.1
- Update cache lifetime from 30 days to 32 days to remove warning messages
Folwell
- Fixed styling styling of hover state on emphasis links
- Fix the z-index issue when displaying multiple Superfish menus on a page
- Removed redundant allowed HTML tags from Folwell CKEditor 5 install profile
Modules
- Module updates
- Add module popetech_path_list - a custom module that creates a view to export a CSV with list of paths that are viewable by the authenticated user role (but not admin paths) for import into Pope Tech
- Update the environment_indicator module to version 4.0.21
Patches
- Autosave_form patch 3487459 - Deprecation error on user edit form
- Patch RDF module to fix issue with empty language string
- Patch the Environment Indicator module to remove deploy code
- Facets - Facets with AJAX not working in most of situations - https://www.drupal.org/project/facets/issues/3052574#comment-15826989
- Lightning UMN - Disallow query strings in robots.txt
Rollout DetailsWe will update the umnd902 dev environment on Tuesday, January 28, to avoid interfering with the upgrade to Acquia Cloud Next on January 29-30th.We will update all other sites on Wednesday, January 29.The updates will begin at 8 AM and are expected to be completed by 1 pm. There will be no downtime during the update window.
Action Required Post Production Update
If you use Drupal’s configuration management system, you will need to synchronize your production database configs with the configs in your repository after the release is complete.If you have any questions or concerns about this update, please email ucm@umn.edu.
Comments & Events
- Spot check your main pages.
- Look through the list of modules being changed to see if they are installed on your site (Go to the Extend menu in the admin toolbar and then type in the module name).
- If you do not have any of those modules installed, then you are done.
- Check pages that are specifically using those modules for visual issues.
- Create a test page (or pages) that use that module to ensure no problems occur.
