Okay I see. It was just salesforce. I will do that now π

| Robyn |
Hey Dave, thanks so much - whatever we had before is good - I assumed it was going to salesforce and a copy to iib but if that is not the case, ignore! thank you
| David M. |
Okay great will do! should remove the normal mailer and only keep the salesforce connection ? or should I add them to the normal mailer instead
| Robyn |
| Robyn |
Tested and its working perfectly - thank you!

Hi all, I added a regular expression to not allow + characters and also added a validation message: https://iib.umn.edu/subscribe-newsletter

sticky posts for news is not behaving as expected - we can add to the chat tomorrow

Okay we can have a look tomorrow

Thanks Romona! I see your test - my test went through whilst logged in - I got a thank you so assume it made it to salesforce?

no error message

Thats great more good news! I also tested the subscriber email and ask Romona to send a test email and looks to be working fine for us. No issues on my side:

Hey

we can ask Leah once we are live
| Robyn |
It is actually this one Ian, confusing myself haha
| Robyn |
anyhow, just wanted to make sure we don't have a gap so moving on
| Robyn |
The one that had the meet the team bios - not sure if you remember - all the images were different shapes
| Robyn |
they had another page up but looks like they ended up keeping this page on RC - we can ask Leah when the site is up (the copy is the same so has to come off)
| Ian P. |
We can ask Leah / Sarah to add a redirect to the Research Computing site to point to the new site, once it's live
| Ian P. |
Are you talking about this page? https://rc.umn.edu/iib
| Robyn |
there was a redirect instruction that had to come from our side but looks like that's no longer relevant

I am referring to the temporary landing page that Patricia had floating around

Hey https://iib.dev.umn.edu/funding-opportunities/fellowships There is a lot of detail to this section:
I finished everything but there is a possibility I might of missed something. One area I do need some feedback is the form page: https://iib.dev.umn.edu/fellowships-application https://xd.adobe.com/view/dfd5ea62-fc8d-4899-bcc8-e21d83d8b81e-8a86/screen/824b209b-9d12-4c61-b913-0f1b76b31222/ For these two items:
Other then that I think we are done :) π

most of the recommendations are content/ images or out of scope - changing the about us header to a team shot - as an example - we have that lovely design at the top so that will be the only page without - possible but not recommended in isolation

Are you available to chat?

| Laura H. |
I agree, though this will mean if. upcoming call becomes a past call the post would need to be remade, removing the nice radio buttons to change it from Upcoming to Past, (the little dudies Robs pointed out this morning)
| Laura H. |
Agree
| Ian P. | Maybe a good way to tackle it is to step away from drupal, and in a sheet or just on paper write down what the breadcrumbs should do? | |
| Ian P. | Laura, I think it's a good thing if we don't have a nested structure for projects and funding opportunities. Otherwise, the url will need to change when a project becomes a past project, for example. | |
| Laura H. |
We are both a bit stumped. With that said, because of the way the Projects and Funding opportunities are set up in views, the nested posts' URL patterns are not going to have the correct breadcrumbs and will require a manual effort as we cannot set up URL patterns. When creating a URL pattern there is only one option for Projects and one for Funding Opportunities, as opposed to content types for Ongoing Projects, Past Projects, Publications, Upcoming Calls for Funding, and Past Calls for Funding β as these are essentially nested into two parent Views. |
| Laura H. | ||

One thing that is tricky with events is that there's no drop down to see the types of categories, you need to know what you are searching for which makes it difficult to use - we also copied what DSI have exactly and that's not necessarily going to be the same here - I will update the dummy posts but how can I see the types of events we have available?
| Robyn |
| Robyn |
lekker, I will check thanks Dave!
| David M. |
Hey
| David M. |
Okay thanks let me try this

{% if start_date|date('Y-m-d') == end_date|date('Y-m-d') %}
{% set event_date = start_date|date('g:i a', 'Etc/GMT+10') ~ ' - ' ~ end_date|date('g:i a', 'Etc/GMT+10') %} {# Note: 'Etc/GMT+10' is not the correct timezone for this site, but due to a conflict I haven't been able to find, it is necessary to use this timezone to get the correct time. #}
{% else %}

All good. I just want to look into that Drafts one more time. After looking into Collaborations task. I think breadcrumbs is working as expected. I made those styling changes on the home page. We just need to clear our cache to see it. The other tasks in my name are for the forms which I left because of salesforce. However I tested the forms with the email handlers and they sent as expected. Otherwise enjoy the long weekend βοΈπ€π

I added it now should I remove the other placeholder tags ?
| David M. |
Hey
| Robyn |
| David M. |
Good Morning, just a heads up. I purposely broke the three buttons on the project page. It made for an unfriendly user experience when creating normal pages. It didn't make sense having an area just for three buttons that only one page is currenlty using. I have added three links which will be styled the same when I push the form changes
| Robyn | ||
| David M. |
yes should be fine
| Robyn |
Can we jump on a quick call for this - you, me and
| David M. |
So the latest past event will show on top and then repeat in that order
| David M. |
I am not quiet sure yet. I am thinking of display them from newest to latest
| Robyn |
| Robyn |
I had a look at this university as one of the collaborators for IIB and spotted this article - https://www.uni-kiel.de/en/details/news/048-grasshopper-robot CRAZY!
| David M. |
I need to adjust the time of Past Events. It is not as easy as I thought. It will have to be a new page. I also forgot to add time for events post pages.
| David M. |
These are the dev tasks left on the board:
Event page Event calendar: Finishing this one off at the moment 4H Styling: responsive 5H Past events: This might just be a static link with a query string plus the call to action 45m Searchable project tags I assume this is already functional. The tag is clickable and it shows all the relating articles. It does need to be styled and might need a header. 4H Forms Connecting contact form to salesforce: I will compare to DSI 2h Create the forms and pages for "Collaborate", "Apply for funding", "Signup", "Contact us". Including styling 9h Breadcrumbs Not sure what the issue is, I haven't spent any time on it. 8H Total Possibly 23:45 hours with conservative time lines. I am, unsure about a few things. |
| Robyn |
Content and testing for IIB should take up to 6 hours with the current content and work being done - that's 3 hours for me and 3 for Lau which should be plenty of time for testing and content loading (with what's been provided) I have been flagging content for the last 4 - 5 weeks and mentioned it again on the last email to all so the part I am unsure about is the knock-on affect of missing content and being able to deliver the site without needing additional dev to remove items - therefore, we share the site with placeholder copy and hope that in that moment, more content is added or provided - will add this note to the message board for reference as well
| Robyn | ||
| Robyn |
Amazing, thanks Dave! Will check it out
| David M. |
Hey
I am aware of the breadcrumb issue I have not managed to look into that yet. I created a new task for it. I also made this document to help with editing those pages because its easy to forget and Drupal is not user friendly at times: Editing Titles/Content for Archive Pages - International Institute for BioSensing . So we can all reference this πͺ |
| David M. |
Okay great - task is added πͺ
| Ian P. |
Thanks
| David M. |
Okay great I should probably make a task for this. The page is not fleshed out :)
| Ian P. |
Or something else completely :)
| Ian P. |
- When you create a tag in one taxonomy, it should automatically create it in another taxonomy so that the tags are consistent throughout. - Tags should have their own pages (like you discussed this morning |
| David M. |
The second vocab part I am not sure I am understanding.
| Robyn |
| David M. | ||
| David M. |
I was hoping to push changes to DEV but looks like they might be doing some sort of maintenance
| David M. | ||
| David M. |
Oh looks like you need to be signed in to see it properly: these will all be broken if your not signed in
| David M. |
and pages should be responsive as well
| David M. |
I might take a gym/lunch break soon before I get lazy. However I just want to post the normal pages here to show some progress. This is before I start work on the slight more complicated parts of the website. If the pages don't look like the design you might need to clear your cache or sign in:
https://iib.dev.umn.edu/ https://iib.dev.umn.edu/projects https://iib.dev.umn.edu/funding-opportunities https://iib.dev.umn.edu/fellowships https://iib.dev.umn.edu/about-iib |
| David M. |
Sounds good! the three blocks on the hope page can be removed. it wont be a big job to remove and add again
| Robyn |
footer also has all the links in so that will also need to have stuff left off - anyhow, flapping over here - we can chat as needed over the next few days
