What are the biggest challenges at the moment for these organisations? These may or may not be solvable by using Gikko - I'm trying to understand their landscape. - Delivery rate and Read Rate of important updates from the Institution to the students (Course Updates/Exams info/Fees Reminders etc) - Cost effective way of reaching out to University prospects from Admissions and Enrollment.
If relevant, how might Gikko be able to help them address some of these challenges? - Personalized SMSs to students and other stakeholders. - No need for data to get updates from the Institution - Delivery rate is almost 100% - Bulk email as a failover
Who do they trust, and why? Think of companies or people they would trust for sound advice.
- Internal ICT department for such services - Other service providers who are cost centric knowing the Industry they fall under.
Who do they distrust, and why? What are some of the characteristics of untrustworthy people or organisations in their context? - Yet to get this - researching on this myself in the interactions I have and will have
Which strategies or processes are holding universities back from succeeding in their communications efforts? - Cost - Lack of knowledge on the tools - Reliant on ICT who have other "important" tasks on their hands
What is unique about their main audience? - They are tech savvy - Students (college and high school students) who don't have a source of income yet (no connectivity unless connected to public wifi) so SMS is ideal.
