Notes
I have been thinking about what we can talk about this month -

1. the comparison of tools is defos still an option so what would we need to execute that - / any tools you want to mention

Thinking - Email / SMS / What's app / Communication

2. Then I tried to find some fresh ideas and something that came up was putting report exercepts into a blog to explain the type of stuff you can see with Gikko reports - I think this is quite a nice approach. We'd need to play around with building reports to see what comes out of it but it would hopefully give people insight into the type of information they can expect to see when using Gikko services

3. We could ask James what his top frequently asked questions are and get a blog going to support that - this may free him up and serve the purpose of blog content

Ian Parsons, Head Chef at Matogen Digital Ian the Gikko newsletter is due this week and as mentioned this morning, I was playing around with some ideas for us to do something different -

The reports idea needs more work, but the FAQ's idea can be used - I am not sure its a wonderful blog but it will be great for SEO and general use by the team who provide support

We can also add these to the FAQ's on the site

Rodney - top 5 questions and answers

  1. Are you able to broadcast to all local Mobile Network Operators? - Yes, Gikko helps you broadcast to all three MNOs locally. In addition we cater for international traffic too.
  2. Do you provide a database to broadcast messages? - No we dont, Gikko is just the messaging portal, an organisation needs to have their own databases of customers to broadcast messages to.
  3. Can I integrate Gikko with my core system internally? - Yes through API Integration. We provide the API documentation and sample code etc.
  4. How much is the cost per SMS/Email? - We have a Tier pricing system, depending on your volumes. Reach out for pricing discussion.
  5. How long does it take to open an account with Gikko? - Within 24 hours we will be able to open an account for your organisation.
  6. Is this cloud based or you have to install the application on our computers? - Gikko is a SaaS based solution (cloud based).

James top 5 questions and answers

- What is the cost of an SMS? - Rates are dependent on volumes of SMSs; The lowest tier per SMS is charged at USD $0.0231 per SMS exc of VAT. (This is for volumes of 0 > 50,000 SMS.)
- Do you guys supply a database? - No.Gikko does not supply databases. This is the responsibility of the customer to have their own database.
- Am I able to send an SMS through API? - Yes definitely. Gikko provides the links for integration free of charge once the customer's account is open.
- How Soon am I able to send an SMS after creation of an account? - An account may send a SMS soon upon set up which is 24 hours after submission of all required documents. However, because of the registration of the Sender ID which may takes 7 working  days, an account should be ready to send messages within 7 working days from the submission of the Sender ID by client.
- How Much is it to have WhatsApp Business / API? The overall cost will be dependent on the WA Business Plan chosen by the client. However for guidance, the following pricing usually pertains:

- Initial Set-Up Fees - Range from USD $900.00 to $3,000.00 (Depending on the WABA plan chosen by the customer)
-  WA Monthly Subs: Cloud Sender ID USD $42.50
                                 User Fee: USD $55.00

- WA Pricing per Conversation: User Initiated Conversation USD $0.015 per conversation,  Business Initiated Conversations USD $0.021 (Utility Conversation); USD $0.021 (Authentication Conversation); USD $0.03 (Marketing Conversation)
*Pricing is generally determined by Plan adopted by client. Prices are subject to change due to the fact they are determined by Meta.

James is all about costs of things which I need to double check that Winston is happy to add this to a blog / newsletter and site - it feels really useful to have for people exploring whether to sign up with Gikko or not, but does not feel like a great idea for a newsletter going out to people already signed up?

Questions and notes for Ian
Is the FAQ's solid enough to write about?

How weird is it that people ask if the service includes a database - that makes me wonder if these people that ask this are even aware of who their customers are - maybe that's a good addition, how do you manage your data - whilst we cannot provide you with a database, we can help you manage your customers - start with gathering all clients data on a spreadsheet (so really low level practical advice)

What do you think? Weak sauce or can we work with this?
