Comments & Events
GEMS priority list agreed in July for reference:
1. Learning updates, flyers, digital boards, etc due 12 and 26 August
2. Kick-off the SEO audit to inform website gaps, enhancements and opportunities.
3. Create a plan for website edits and additions based on the audit, this may include the thinking and plan for Knowledge base
4. Create a content plan to support the SEO audit findings
5. Build out the DataStudio report to show all website insights.
6. Figure out next steps for CRM; Execute plan for the transition from Fresh early November.
Specific feedback questions on the prototype:
- Do you think the website's main purpose is clear from the top-level navigation? If not, what should change?
- Are we achieving the goal of reducing number of clicks to reach desired content?
- Do you like the visual update, incl. rounded edges etc.?
- Do you feel there is enough focus on the GEMS learning courses vs bringing the partner course links up near the top of the Learning page?
- Are you happy with the treatment of careers / team members on separate pages?
- Are we providing enough airtime to your partners, or should we find more ways to showcase their involvement?
- Is the knowledge base structure clear and easy to navigate for users?
phil:
- On the audit are there suggestions to simplify the website?
- nothing has been identified to remove
- find out traffic via analytics, and see what important info is being missed
- Too much choice can be overwhelming
- Maintenance cost
- "My sense is the site needs to be sharper and more focused - no rat nest"
- Ian to pull a report and share it now for some insight
- How can we surface the partnerships on the home page
Kris:
- accessibility standards are getting specific and if not met there is potential for legal action. It's a big concern for the U and of really high importance.
- Drupal flags issues and we'll make sure standards are met before pushing anything live.
