Xoliswa Shandu, Matogen Digital Xoliswa we have gotten the go-ahead from MSI on the proposed functionality and design for the events calendar. We'd like this to be the same on DSI, except it must be styled with the current DSI filter look in mind (i.e. no dark background on the filter, but using the same functionality).

Essentially, what needs to be introduced is:
  1. The ability to pin featured Events
  2. Create events with multiple days (consecutive days)
  3. Filter criteria: (which you have already been working on) 
    • Select a month 
    • Organizer
    • Category
I believe the best approach here would be to wait for this to be implemented on the MSI site and for you and David Mundell, Developer at Matogen Digital David to discuss the way forward, as there might be elements you've already implemented that will make the process on MSI a bit smoother.   1. The ability to pin featured Events
    - I created a Feature Event field to be set to true or false
    - Once set the featured event will be pinned to the top and a green border around it

  2. Create events with multiple days (consecutive days)
    - Dates added in event node
    - Display Single Month and both dates 
    - Display month and dates for both when different months

  3. Filter criteria:  
    • Select a month 
    • Organizer
    • Category

  • I did a clone of your data voyages event and updated a few things - I noticed that the dates in the backend are not the same as the dates that end up on the calendar - I put 29 July - 31 July but the calendar is showing 29 July - 1 August - it seems to be adding a day, I think. 
  • The individual page for the event only shows the first date 
  • The featured post works nicely, it took a while to show up but think that's the old cache doing what it does.
