Notes
Ian Parsons, Head Chef at Matogen Digital Ian we have maintenance and hosting costs to consider - I have myself and Xoliswa chatting later this week about new maintenance services but we are not done fleshing this out yet   - we could tell them we'll share a quote or give them a guestimate of more or less - can we steer their hosting to cloudflare and get them the costs tomorrow? I noticed that Ana said its fine if their content is not ready yet so letting that slide for now but obviously we need those things for this project to work

Dear Samson & Adam, Ian & Robyn,

I hope you are doing well.

I'm very happy to say that Matogen Digital is interested in learning more about Ayélé's project of building a
new website to uplift vulnerable communities through sport. I've mentioned to them about the timeline for the Shape Africa conference, and we are confident about it.

The next step is to have a matching meeting between all of us to discuss the scope of work and how we move forward. @Samson and @Adam, could you please indicate your availability based on the following slots:
  • Wednesday (16.10) between 13h30 - 15h30;
  • Friday (18.10) between 13h30 - 15h30;
Robyn and Ian are available on those slots, so please let me know your preferred time and I will send a google invite.

Please, Adam and Samsou, prepare ahead of the call a list of the pages and functionalities you'd like to see on the website, as well as the content (if you do not have it ready, there's no problem, but would be good to understand what type of content should be there apart from texts - photos, videos, etc).

I'm looking forward to hearing from you!

Thanks Robyn, Project Manager at Matogen Digital Robyn . If we're not ready with our hosting and maintenance plan, we can still guide them to CloudFlare + Cloudways, which will make it easy for us to maintain if we need to.

We can still offer our maintenance package, but like you said, get back to them when we're ready with costings.
Robyn, Project Manager at Matogen Digital thanks Ian

Some notes from me Ian Parsons, Head Chef at Matogen Digital Ian Laura Hurley, Designer, UX and Engagement Specialist at Matogen Digital Laura

Need to discuss hosting and maintenance - will quote on this - Cloudflare and Cloud ways needed for us to support - E-commerce costs that need to be considered to facilitate donations

Other
- volunteer sign up (what are the requirements to be a volunteer - any other considerations)

We need all content delivered by Friday for us to meet the deadline

The site they like https://www.homelessworldcup.org/

What do they want to include? For reference

We plan to develop a website that highlights the impact of sports on vulnerable communities, particularly in conflict-affected regions. This platform will serve as an educational and advocacy tool, showcasing how sports foster unity, resilience, and empowerment. It will feature case studies, success stories, and multimedia content, along with interactive features like a resource hub, donation portal, and volunteer sign-up.

Partnering with Tech To The Rescue, we’ll implement responsive design, social media integration, and data analytics to engage users and amplify the global impact of sports in driving social change.

Also Logo design :)
Robyn, Project Manager at Matogen Digital
Yes!  Just pulling from their brief so we don't forget

Also what Ian said to Ana - don't think it was passed on

Our team is keen to contribute on this project. I've CCed our project manager Robyn here; would you include her in all emails, please?

With the tight timeline, we'd recommend building a WordPress site using a template from Elementor's kit library. Suggestions for next steps:
  • Set up a meeting with the non-profit team
  • Choose a design from Elementor's kit library
  • Supply a list of required pages and functionality
  • Supply all content and photos to be used on the site
  • Choose a domain name and set up website hosting
With this in place, we'll be able to build out the website quite quickly.
