    We have actually never published a newsletter before, so I would appreciate some advice from you on what would work best.

  • Herewith my responses (in red) for each of the points you previously sent: 
    • Partners - we need short descriptions for all partners
      Done - Esley to load


    • Funders - we need a short descriptions for all funders
      Done -Handover to Esley to update


    • It might be useful to use this spreadsheet to check partners and funders - your team never completed it but we used it for loading so it will help identify gaps / possibly things that should be deleted. Also, where partners and funders need to be linked to Projects as those are not always clear in the project descriptions
      Spreadsheet has been updated - great, used this spreadsheet to find the profile pics -


    • Linked Frank to FSNET Africa project and made him a researcher but this needs to be checked, the role is needed for people on projects.
      Changed to "Fellow" on the spreadsheet. - updated



    • Projects  - we have the ability to link partners on the page - there’s a post or two where partners are referenced in the content but no partners are provided - 17 partners for CoreSFS but no links or partners confirmed here - this should fit in with the design where we have space for partners - Please check The document has lots of great information but is also a bit unclear at times.
      The updated spreadsheet should help with this. The PROJECT DESCRIPTIONS document and PROJECT PARTNERS documents in Glassubes have also been updated to try to clarify partners linked to projects. - Handover to Esley to update


    • Note we are changing the way projects work slightly - instead of allowing people to click away from the site from the projects overview page, we want everyone to go through to projects on the site and then have the option to click away - it's better to have this working consistently. We may need to add some more details to these projects because we only have a short description for some but things like FSNET Africa have lots of resources and people that we can put onto the page and then link from there. At this stage it's a flag for you to note, but no specific requirements yet.
      Let's discuss in our next meeting (i.e., tomorrow)

  • Voice Notes - content needs to match the page’s intent and tell a story about a project that made an difference /impacted people’s lives in some positive way - we made some changes to the design to ensure that navigation makes sense - see here: https://xd.adobe.com/view/3cd9bca9-889d-46bf-97e0-b2993538211b-698a/screen/08ea2186-d8b8-4566-a0c9-0035dc3ff2b8/ Please shout if you would like to chat about this some more. The previous design was lovely but it wasn't super practical for the user and we would not be able to add more stories easily.
    Voice notes have not yet been updated - will do so asap


    • Categories / topics for news and events check and load what comes up in future - we did not have an event post so we took the news workshop post and made it an event post - there’s one more news post to load which we left for you to load

    • Check topics for your blogs, these will become filters on the resources space so confirm that those make sense for you - we loaded the first blog and the only video.
      How many topics/filters are needed? Completely up to you but from a user perspective, we'd suggest 10 - 15 max especially considering mobile users


    • Missing links on our approach under capacity building  - * yellow and not clear where those need to come from so left off but loaded what we know - noting that your QA will need to be critical to ensure things are not missing.
    • Text has been edited to remove references to external links. Only internal links to project / funder pages remain. Esley to update 

    • Training opportunities needs an intro We have load a 2/3 courses, but no intro and will leave the rest of the courses for you to load.
      There is now an intro for Training Opportunities in the Website sketch document.  Esley to update


    • We added impact areas for training opportunities as per the design, please make a note to check that they are correct as these were not provided, so we guessed based on the course.

I am picking up partners and funders to help - Esley is loading the rest - I do need to check on the following which hopefully will be fixed up with the edits you are doing Ian Parsons, Head Chef at Matogen Digital Ian  

  • Resources, is it possible to move things around - video seems static and there's an intro block that has been added since I was last on this that does not do anything 

  • The call to action on Resources and events/news - if there's nothing in there, nothing should pull through, its pulling through what it says on the design currently when there's nothing in but projects pulls in nothing when there's nothing, this makes more sense 

  • News and Events -- need to check this again, I had cloudflare woes and not everything was showing but seems to be there now, will check again tomorrow 

  • Capacity building is not working the way it did before and its not styling properly when I load it in - something has gone wonky over there 

  • Collaborating researchers - arua partners network, needs an intro - told Esley to add something - will it work ? 

  • Arua should be ARUA-SFS (minor but noted) 

  • The impact areas image is blank when you look at it in the backend - temp issue or something else - it is pulling through to the front so assume the latter - will check tomorrow


  • We should send specs for the image layout 

  • I could not for the life of me remember how to do the form and get that code snippet so will need to do a recording and share it separately 
  • Esley is going to lean on you for support with the voicenotes - incoming at some point 
  • The images for the profiles were in the folder, I just missed them coz some where linked on the spreadsheet and some not
